Dr. Devata received his Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with honors. He received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California.
Dr. Devata is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
In addition to performing all aspects of General Surgery, he has a special emphasis in Laparoscopic Surgery.
